CSX train derails in Ohio

   A CSX railcar carrying styrene monomer, a chemical used in plastics manufacture, has derailed near Willard, Ohio, and had been leaking, causing residents to evacuate from around the crash site.
   In a statement, CSX said it had worked with first responders to stop the leak, which was caused by a derailment at the CSX Willard Yard, which is located northwest of the city, is one of its five major railyards in Ohio.
   “The company is establishing a community outreach center at the Willard Town Hall, and (is) securing hotel rooms for displaced residents,” the statement read. “CSX thanks the first responders for their support, and pledges to work with them and the community to resolve this incident as safely and quickly as possible.”
   According to local reports, hundreds of residents have been evacuated from near the derailment. Reports also said the car spilled close to 30,000 gallons of the liquid.
