Yusen merges Turkish subsidiary with İnci Lojistik

Yusen Logistics Turkey has merged with İnci Holding subsidiary İnci Lojistik to form a new joint venture company, Yusen İnci Lojistik, which will begin operations on April 1, 2017, the companies said in a joint statement.    Yusen Logistics has merged its Turkey division with İnci Holding subsidiary İnci Lojistik to form a new joint venture company, the third-party providers said in a joint statement.
   Led by Hakan Meric, formerly managing director of Yusen Logistics Turkey, Istanbul-based Yusen İnci Lojistik ve Ticaret A.Ş. will officially begin operations on April 1, 2017.
   The new company will offer a full range of contract logistics services in Turkey, as well as international forwarding services for both inbound and outbound supply chains via Yusen’s global network.
   “This merger, together with İnci Lojistik, is indeed a very important step for Yusen Logistics from our worldwide perspective,” Yusen Logistics President Kenji Mizushima said in a statement. “Our strengthened presence in Turkey represents an important step in the next stage of our global strategy.”
   “We are uniting our forces to better adapt to the needs and realities of the rapidly changing world; together we are more resilient to global turbulences and more capable of transforming them into opportunities,” added Murat Yıldıran, president of İnci Lojistik.
