Verucci Motorcycles seeks $3.8 million in damages from OTI    Verucci Motorcycles has filed a complaint to the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission seeking more than $3.8 million from ocean transportation intermediary Senator International Ocean for allegedly failing to deliver on service.
   According to a notice of the compliant published by the FMC, Verucci, an importer of scooters and motorcycles from China, also alleged that Senator International engaged in misdeclarations of cargo; unfilled agreements; failure to carry out transportation obligations resulting in cargo delays and financial losses for shippers; discriminatory practices; and unreasonable refusal to deal or negotiate.
   Verucci said it began dealing with the OTI in September 2005.
   The FMC has assigned the complaint to its Office of Administrative Law Judges. An initial decision from the presiding officer is due by April 2, 2007, followed by a final decision from the commission by July 31, 2007.
