L.A. councilwoman blasts port disaster plan The Los Angeles City Council member representing the Port of Los Angeles on Thursday slammed a proposed disaster recovery plan for the port being developed by port officials.
   'I must say I was extremely disappointed in what you guys turned in,' Janice Hahn told port officials appearing before the City Council's Trade, Commerce and Tourism Committee, which she heads.
   'This is no more a recovery plan than anything else. It’s more like a table of contents. There was no real action plan here,' Hahn said.
   Port officials countered that details for the plan were highly sensitive and actually contained in a separate port document.
   Hahn called on port officials to develop the disaster recovery plan in September 2006, citing the need to have a recovery plan in the case of a terrorist attack or natural disaster.
   The Los Angeles port and neighboring Long Beach port are 'an attractive target that would impact the global economy,' Hahn said. 'If someone saw this report, they would see that the port was not ready to get up and running again.'
   Port officials promised to come back to Hahn with an updated version of the plan.
