IAG to offer more capacity on Seattle-London route

   At the end of October, IAG Cargo will offer an additional 108 tons of cargo capacity on British Airways flights between London and Seattle.
   The three new flights, which will use Boeing 777-200 equipment, mean IAG will offer 10 frequencies on the route each week.
   According to IAG officials, Seattle is a growing market, with the Seattle-London route generating 4,660 tons of activity last year. Goods on the route include aircraft parts routed to and from Boeing, perishables and other cargo, some of it destined for manufacturing bases in Portland, Ore., and Boise, Idaho.
   “The additional flights will prove highly beneficial to IAG Cargo’s business, allowing us to bolster our offering in a market that is always on the lookout for more cargo capacity,” IAG Cargo’s Joe LeBeau said in a statement. “Our aim as a carrier is to support global businesses and by having our capabilities enhanced in this way, we take another important step forward towards meeting this goal.” – Jon Ross
