Executive Moves: CBP and Dayton Freight

CBP deputy commissioner receives White House’s Presidential Rank Award, while Dayton Freight makes promotions at Dayton, Ohio operation.    Kevin McAleenan, the deputy commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, was named by the White House as one of three “distinguished” Presidential Rank Award recipients. The awards recognize top federal career executives for consistent leadership and commitment to public service. Distinguished rank is for leaders who achieve sustained extraordinary results.

   Justin Sharkey has been promoted to region one special projects manager at less-than-truckload carrier Dayton Freight. He joined the company in 2004 and was most recently the service center manager for the carrier in Dayton, Ohio. Kevin Kueffner has been promoted to service center manager at the carrier’s Dayton facility.
