C.H. Robinson’s 4th quarter profit up 24%

C.H. RobinsonÆs 4th quarter profit up 24% Minneapolis-based trucking and multimodal logistics provider C.H. Robinson Tuesday reported a 23.5 percent rise in fourth quarter net income to $71.8 million, compared to $58.1 million in the same quarter 2005.
   The company's quarterly operating income increased 19.2 percent to $110.4 million from $92.6 million a year ago. Gross revenue in the fourth quarter improved 3.7 percent to $1.64 billion from $1.58 billion in the prior year quarter.
   For the full year 2006, C.H. Robinson's net income improved 31.3 percent to $266.9 million from $203.4 million in 2005. Operating income rose 28 percent to $417.8 million while total gross revenue gained 15.2 percent to $6.55 billion.
