The company said its terminals handled nearly 12.2 million TEUs in the period, about 19.5 percent more than the same 2007 period. Terminals in China handled 10.9 million TEUs of that volume, 11.3 percent more than in 2007.
The company’s terminals handled 3.7 million tons of breakbulk cargo during the quarter, 63 percent more than in the same 2007 period.
The company’s container leasing and management operations had a capacity of 1.6 million TEUs on Sept. 30, 9.3 percent more than a year earlier.
