Africa West picks Globe as Netherlands agents

Africa West picks Globe as Netherlands agents Africa West Airlines has appointed Globe Air Cargo as its exclusive general sales agent in the Netherlands.
   The airline operates a twice-weekly Boeing 747 freighter service from Amsterdam Schiphol every Thursday and Sunday to Lome, the capital city of Togo. From Lome, Africa West has scheduled daily services using three 18-ton capacity Antonov 12 freighters to points across Central and West Africa. It transports about 8,000 tons of cargo each year.
   The new agreement extends the business agreement between the two companies as Globe, part of European Cargo Services (ECS), also represents Africa West in eight other European countries and the United States. Last year, ECS acquired a shareholding in Africa West “as part of our strategy to build a strong presence in the African market.”
