APL adjusts Asia-Latin America network

Citing seasonal demand changes, the CMA CGM subsidiary will be temporarily adjusting three services for the next three months.    Singapore-based ocean carrier APL, a subsidiary of CMA CGM, will be adjusting its Latin America network later this month, the company said Tuesday.
   Citing seasonal demand changes in the Asia-Latin America market, APL will be temporarily adjusting three services for the duration of the next three months. 
   The services – the ALX, the ASA and the MAX – will be adjusted, with the new ALX commencing March 25, the new ASA on March 27 and the new MAX on March 24.

   The new rotations as compared to the current rotations are as follows:

• New ALX: Keelung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Xiamen, Ningbo, Yangshan, Busan, Manzanillo (Mexico), Callao, Iquique, Puerto Angamos, Valparaiso and Keelung
• Current ALX: Keelung, Hong Kong, Da Chan Bay, Xiamen, Shanghai, Ningbo, Busan, Manzanillo (Mexico), Callao, Iquique, Valparaiso, Lirquen, Callao, Manzanillo (Mexico), Tokyo and Keelung

• New ASA: Yangshan, Xiamen, Shekou, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Busan, Manzanillo (Mexico), Lazaro Cardenas, Balboa, Buenaventura, Callao, San Antonio, Coronel, Lirquen, Puerto Angamos, Callao, Lazaro Cardenas, Manzanillo (Mexico) and Busan
• Current ASA: Busan, Kaohsiung, Shekou (Chiwan), Hong Kong, Shanghai, Manzanillo (Mexico), Lazaro Cardenas, Buenaventura, Balboa, Lazaro Cardenas, Manzanillo (Mexico), Yokohama and Busan

• New MAX: Qingdao, Ningbo, Yangshan, Busan, Yokohama, Ensenada, Manzanillo (Mexico), Lazaro Cardenas, Balboa, Buenaventura, Guayaquil, Balboa, Lazaro Cardenas, Manzanillo (Mexico), Ensenada, Yokohama and Busan
• Current MAX: Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Yokohama, Ensenada, Manzanillo (Mexico), Lazaro Cardenas, Balboa, Buenaventura, Guayaquil, Balboa, Manzanillo (Mexico), Ensenada, Yokohama, Busan and Qingdao

   According to ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting, the current ALX sails with 11 vessels averaging 6,250 TEUs, the ASA sails with eight vessels averaging 7,053 TEUs, and the MAX sails with 11 averaging 9,121 TEUs. APL operates three vessels on the ASA and is a slot purchaser on the MAX and ALX.
