MOL, “K” Line to link up on Asia-South America service
Japanese ocean carriers Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha ('K' Line) on Monday announced a New Andes joint service that will link Asia, Mexico, and the west coast of South America in April. The two companies, along with P&O Nedlloyd, have served that trade route through a joint service that will be dissolved in April. P&O was recently purchased by Maersk.
MOL and 'K' Line will provide weekly service with nine containerships in the 2,000-TEU class, the companies said in a statement.
