G6 Alliance adjusts Asia-Europe services

Alliance members announced changes to their Loop 7 and Loop 4 services between Asia and Europe.    Members of the G6 Alliance – ocean carriers APL, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Nippon Yusen Kaisha and Orient Overseas Container Line – have announced changes to their Loop 7 and Loop 4 services between Asia and Europe.
   The carriers have added a call to Gdansk and dropped a westbound call to Port Said on their Loop 7 service with the June 20 sailing of the Hong Kong Express from Qingdao. The revised port rotation of Loop 7 is Qingdao, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Yantian, Singapore, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Gdansk, Southampton, Singapore, Yantian and Qingdao.
   In turn, Loop 4 will add the westbound Port Said call dropped from Loop 7 with the July 3 sailing of the Shanghai Express from Ningbo. The revised port rotation of Loop 4 will be Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Singapore, Port Said, Le Havre, Southampton, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Port Said, Jeddah, Singapore, Hong Kong and Ningbo.
   According to ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting, the G6 Alliance does not currently have any other services currently calling Gdansk. The AE10/Silk service, operated by 2M Alliance members Maersk Line and Mediterranean Shipping Company, is the only other service with direct connections between Gdansk and any ports in Asia.
