Lloyd Triestino to join CMA CGM’s U.S./Med service

Lloyd Triestino to join CMA CGM’s U.S./Med service    Trieste-based Lloyd Triestino and French carrier CMA CGM have filed an agreement with the Federal Maritime Commission which will see the Italian carrier take slots on CMA CGM’s recently started weekly U.S./Mediterranean “Amerigo Express” service.
   The service will represent Lloyd Triestino’s only service in the U.S. to Mediterranean trade.
   The “Amerigo Express” was started in early October and uses fives ships averaging 1,800 TEUs. The port rotation is New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Port Everglades, Lisbon, Malta, Leghorn, Genoa, Fos, Valencia, Lisbon, New York, Norfolk, Savannah and Port Everglades.
   ANL Container Line, China Shipping Container Lines, Hapag-Lloyd, P&O Nedlloyd and Zim Israel Navigation all participate on the service as well.
