Feeder to link Hutchison’s ECT, CTF terminals

Feeder to link HutchisonÆs ECT, CTF terminals    European feeder operators Team Lines and Unifeeder said Monday they are starting weekly feeder services between Europe Container Terminals in Rotterdam and Container Terminalen Frihamnen in Stockholm.
   The services give shippers a direct all-water service between the two terminals, both of which are part of the North European network of Hong Kong-based terminal operator Hutchison Port Holdings.
   'Offering our existing and potential customers this additional and alternative routing makes complete sense,' said Martin Allison, chief executive officer of Hutchison Ports Sweden. 'The total transport logistics cost will be reduced, which is an area that our customers have been focusing on.'
   The European HPH network includes container terminals in Sweden, Poland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Spain and Italy, and inland terminals in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
   Neither the feeder operators nor Hutchison released capacity details of the weekly service, nor the start date.
