Exel opens Malaysian distribution center for Motorola

Exel opens Malaysian distribution center for Motorola    Exel has opened a third-party logistics distribution center in Penang, Malaysia, for Motorola. This is part of a three-year contract under which the U.K.-based international logistics firm will manage a 10,000 square-foot, four-tier racking structure for Motorola.
   The Motorola distribution center in Penang supports the distribution of two-way radios, integrated digital enhanced network phones and “aftermarket accessories and parts” to customers in the region. The warehouse facility will handle the customer order fulfillment process, which involves the postponement activities of kitting and software programming and pick-pack of finished goods, which are sent directly to customers in the region.
