Yellow Roadway streamlines operations after USF deal    Yellow Roadway Corp. said it will shut down less-than-truckload carrier USF Dugan as part of a realignment of regional trucking operations following its $1.5-billion acquisition of USF Corp. and its multiple operating companies four weeks ago.
   USF Dugan will cease pickup operations July 8 and will continue to operate until all shipments in the system are delivered. USF Bestway and USF Holland will cover areas where USF Dugan overlapped their networks in Texas (Bestway), and the upper Midwest and Southeast regions. USF Bestway, USF Holland and USF Reddaway will expand their coverage to fill the rest of USF Dugan’s service area.
   Effective July 11, USF Bestway will expand its service coverage into Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and portions of Kansas. USF Bestway has operated in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas.
   USF Holland will expand its service into Missouri and northeastern Kansas. USF Reddaway will takeover the Denver service area.
   “These changes will provide improved service to customers while increasing network efficiencies among the regional companies,” said Bill Zollars, chairman and president of Yellow Roadway, in a statement.
