CMA CGM to start own Asia to India, Middle East loop

CMA CGM to start own Asia to India, Middle East loop    French ocean carrier CMA CGM will from July start its own independent service linking Asia to India and the Middle East, replacing the Super Galex service.
   The China-India-Middle East Express (CIMEX) will use five 2,500-TEU ships and have a port rotation of: Ningbo, Shanghai, Chiwan, Port Kelang, Nhava Sheva, Jebel Ali, Khorfakkan, Bandar Abbas, Port Kelang, Shanghai and Ningbo.
   The new service will have transit times of 14 days from Shanghai to Nhava Sheva, 18 days from Shanghai to Jebel Ali and 20 days from Shanghai to Bandar Abbas.
   The Super Galex service is a joint operation between CMA CGM, CSAV Norasia, Hanjin, Zim and its subsidiary Gold Star. It is not known whether any of the other carriers will take slots on CMA CGM’s CIMEX loop.
