UTi Worldwide acquires Concentrek

UTi Worldwide acquires Concentrek    Rancho Dominguez, Calif.-based UTi Worldwide Inc., provider of integrated logistics services, has acquired third-party logistics provider Concentrek Inc. for an undisclosed amount.
   “This acquisition will enable UTi to offer more comprehensive transportation optimization solutions for our customers, utilizing advanced transportation management and supply chain tools that complement our existing contract logistics solutions,” said Roger I. MacFarlane, UTi’s chief executive officer.
   Concentrek employs about 80 at its headquarters in Grand Rapids, Mich. and at customer sites throughout the United States. and Canada.
   According to UTi, Concentrek’s founders John Patterson, Mike McClelland and Greg Morello will continue to lead the company following the takeover.
