Four new carriers starting North Europe/East Coast South America loop The rate restoration plans for North Europe/East Coast South America will soon be tested with four new entrants, bringing with them slightly more than 100,000 TEUs in extra annual one-way capacity to the trade.
   Japan's 'K' Line, China Shipping Container Lines, Argentina's Maruba and London-based Hatsu Marine, which is part of Taiwan's Evergreen Group, will in late March start a weekly service using six 2,000-TEU ships and calling Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Santos, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio Grande, Itajai, Santos and back to Rotterdam.
   'K' Line and China Shipping will provide two of the vessels, while Hatsu and Maruba will each provide one ship to the new service.
