BA World Cargo doubling London/Islamabad services

BA World Cargo doubling London/Islamabad services British Airways World Cargo has doubled its services between London Heathrow and Islamabad, Pakistan, from three to six rotations per week.
   The new mainline Boeing 777 flights compliment BA World Cargo’s two weekly B727 Freighter routings, Karachi/Bahrain and Lahore/Bahrain, both launched in July.
   The cargo airline said the additional services will cater to Pakistan’s increasing strength as a manufacturing hub within the South Asia region.
   “Following our customers’ requests we have significantly increased our presence in the region to accommodate strong traffic demand from the garment, textile, surgical, carpets, leather and sporting goods industries,” said Johnny Rubio, BA World Cargo’s area commercial manager, Middle East, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
