Alaska Air Group appoints new audit director

Alaska Air Group appoints new audit director Alaska Air Group has named Wendy Jones managing director of internal audit.
   A 17-year veteran of the audit and accounting field, Jones has served as AAG’s internal audit manager since 2005. In her new capacity, Jones will lead the internal audit function of AAG, the parent company of Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air.
   Prior to joining AAG, Jones held a variety of accounting and audit positions, including engagement manager at Jefferson Wells and senior internal auditor at McKesson Corp.
   In addition to its passenger operations to more than 89 cities throughout Alaska, the contiguous United States, Canada and Mexico, Alaska Airlines operates an extensive air cargo operation on the U.S. West Coast. Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air transport more than 150 million pounds of cargo annually, including seafood, mail and freight.
