MAQUET recognizes Menlo for logistics work

MAQUET recognizes Menlo for logistics work Logistics company Menlo Worldwide has been named 2006 Supplier of the Year by MAQUET, a Bridgewater, N.J.-based provider of medical technology and equipment for emergency rooms, operating rooms and intensive care units.
   Menlo’s services for MAQUET include import transportation from Menlo’s Netherlands operation, customs and clearance of goods at JFK International Airport in New York; warehouse and parts distribution in Bridgewater, N.J.; cross-dock operations in Mt. Vernon, N.Y.; and final delivery to MAQUET customers throughout North America.
   MAQUET’s U.S. business unit specializes in sales and service of critical care ventilators and cardiopulmonary perfusion systems and disposables for heart surgery.
   “What differentiates Menlo from other suppliers is that we really do have a partnership with the company that focuses on improving supply chain quality and lowering costs,” said Greg Schupp, director of operations for MAQUET Inc.
   He said in working with Menlo, his company had been able to improve on-time delivery and reduced operating costs and expected further improvements over the next two years.
