MENZIES WORLD CARGO ACQUIRES WYNG GROUP, GAINS EMIRATES CONTRACT    Menzies World Cargo, part of the Menzies Aviation Group, said it has acquired the Wyng Group, a United Kingdom-based ground handling and trucking organization.
   Wyng and Menzies have worked together since 2000, when Wyng outsourced handling for its customer, Emirates SkyCargo, to Menzies. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.
   The deal includes ownership of the Wyng road transport fleet and six Wyng regional cargo reception centers, and transfer of the cargo-handling contract with Emirates.
   “Having worked on behalf of Emirates SkyCargo as a third party supplier, we will now be able to create a much closer working relationship and take direct responsibility for the service level agreement that has been contracted between the two partners,” said Des Vertannes, managing director of Menzies World Cargo.
   Wyng Group was established in 1989 by the late John Wyn Griffith.
