Iran, Cuba to establish joint shipping company

Iran, Cuba to establish joint shipping company    Iran and Cuba have reached an agreement to establish a joint shipping company, according to a report from the Islamic Republic News Agency.
   The agency said Minister of Commerce Masood Mirkazemi made the announcement Sunday evening after returning from a four-day visit to Cuba and taking part in a Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) commercial meeting there.
   The news agency said, “the agreement will have a significant bearing on trade with Latin American countries which has recently expanded.”
   Mirkazemi said the shipping agreement is expected to help strengthen commercial bonds between Iran and states such as Cuba, Venezuela and Bolivia.
   Venezuela needs Iran-made commodities in the fields of construction materials and agriculture machinery, while Cuba is willing to buy transport wagons from Iran, Mirkazemi said.
