Throughput for the first seven months of the year was 515,000 TEUs, with 402,000 TEUs being handled by the deep sea terminal, which has seen considerable gains in volume during a year in which most container terminals are seeing volume losses.
Total throughput at the port, which also handles roll-on/roll-off, dry bulk, oil and gas cargoes, fell 13 percent to 49 million tons through July.
