GE hires Fuchs as trade attorney

GE hires Fuchs as trade attorney    Carol Fuchs is leaving industrial conglomerate Tyco International as senior international trade counsel to join General Electric where she will serve as counsel for export controls, she said in an e-mail to industry colleagues on Wednesday.
   Fuchs previously worked as a trade attorney at the KMZ Rosenman law firm and is a former Motorola compliance director. Earlier this decade she served on the Commercial Operations Advisory Committee, a federal advisory body that provides industry policy recommendations to the departments of Homeland Security and Treasury on trade issues.
   Her deputy at Tyco, Aaron Gothelf, will take over as international trade counsel, she said. Gothelf previously was a customs attorney for BP America. ' Eric Kulisch
