EMTA AGREES TO RAISE NORTHBOUND RATES FROM TURKEY

EMTA AGREES TO RAISE NORTHBOUND RATES FROM TURKEY    Member lines of the Europe/Mediterranean Trade Agreement said they will raise their northbound rates from Turkey to northwest continent and Baltic ports by DM 50 ($23) per 20-foot container and DM100 ($46) for 40-footer, effective Nov. 26.
   EMTA will also raise rates to U.K./Eire ports by '20 (about $29) per 20-foot and '40 ($57) per 40-foot container.
