United to beef up European schedule

The airline will add three seasonal routes from the U.S. to Europe this summer.    United Airlines has added summer 2015 routes between New York and Venice, and Chicago and Dublin, pending regulatory approval.
   The Venice flight, which will run from June 4 to Sept. 23, will depart from New York Liberty International Airport on a Boeing 767-400ER plane. The Chicago flight, which will run between June and August, will make use of a Boeing 757-200.
   The airline also announced it will be adding a second daily nonstop flight between Washington, D.C., and Paris from June to August.  
   “We’re pleased to further strengthen United’s trans-atlantic route network with these new flights to three top destinations in Europe,” Brian Znotins, United’s vice president of network, stated.
