DESCARTES RESTRUCTURES DIVISIONS    The Descartes Systems Group Inc., a provider of logistics management technology, said it has realigned its departments according to geographic regions.
   The move was made to build “a more customer-focused organization,' which enabled 'the leverage of existing relationships,” said Manuel Pietra, co-chief executive officer and president, Descartes Systems.
   Descartes, under the new arrangement, has sectors for Americas, comprising North and South America; Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA); and the Asia-Pacific. Each region reports to a general manager with profit and loss accountability.
   The Waterloo, Canada-based company has appointed Richard Weatherstone as general manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Kevin Taylor as general manager for Asia-Pacific. The company also appointed John Kellett general manager for Canada.
