Report: Militants claim they blew up tanker in Nigeria Militants are claiming responsibility for an explosion and fire on a tanker docked in Nigeria’s Port Harcourt on Friday.
   The Associated Press reports that an e-mail to reporters claimed an explosive device on the ship had been remotely detonated.
   Reportedly no one was killed, but two were injured in the blast and fire.
   AP said police couldn’t confirm if sabotage had caused the port fire. Lloyds List said two people were injured on Wednesday when gunmen opened fire on six oil industry ships in the channel leading to Bonny terminal.
   On Dec. 19, the tanker Keno was attacked by militants in Port Harcourt and an explosion sparked a blaze that quickly spread because of the tanker’s load of oil. One, an electrician died during a conflagration that forced other crewmembers to jump overboard to survive.
