The company's DHL Global Forwarding subsidiary has secured a customs brokerage license to operate in Incheon Airport, the world's second-largest international cargo airport, where 81 percent of South Korea's air cargo is handled.
'In South Korea alone, there are close to 10 free trade agreements already in effect, with many more underway,' said Charles Kaufmann, chief executive officer of North Asia and senior vice president of air freight in North Asia Pacific for DHL Global Forwarding. 'In the dynamic markets of Asia-Pacific, where there are many government initiatives to promote trade, customs brokerage presents an important service to help customers navigate regulations.'
