TSA announces next round of TWIC enrollment

TSA announces next round of TWIC enrollment Workers at eight more ports will soon be able to enrolling for the national Transportation Worker Identification Credential designed to improve personnel security on the waterfront, the Transportation Security Administration announced last week.
   The agency has phased the enrollment process for the biometric and photo identification card on a rolling basis to help its contractor to manage the application and card issuance process. The cards can be used to authenticate longshoremen, truckers, port officials and others who have access to restricted areas at any port in the nation.
   The latest enrollment schedule is as follows:
   ' Tulsa, Okla., Dec. 12.
   ' Albany, N.Y., Dec. 13.
   ' Seattle, Dec. 13.
   ' New York-New Jersey (Staten Island), Dec. 20.
   ' New York-New Jersey (New York), Dec. 27.
   ' Wilmington, N.C., Dec. 27.
   ' Duluth-Superior, Minn., Dec. 28.
   ' Jacksonville, Fla., Dec. 28.
   ' New Orleans, Dec. 28.
   ' New York-New Jersey (South Hackensack), Jan. 4.
