Sereno named to head Long Beach port’s program management division

Sereno named to head Long Beach portÆs program management division The Port of Long Beach has promoted Doug Sereno to the newly formed position of director of program management.
   A five-year veteran of the port, Sereno had been serving as deputy chief harbor engineer, in charge of overseeing program management.
   According to the port, the new position will include all of Sereno's former duties as well as additional unnamed responsibilities.
   Sereno has been in charge of numerous high-profile port projects, including the later phases of the former Navy base conversion on Terminal Island, the early phases of the Pier G redevelopment, and the Ocean Boulevard-Terminal Island Freeway Interchange.
   Prior to joining the port, Sereno served for more than 15 years with the international engineering firm MWH Americas Inc., rising to vice president.
