SCHMIDT NAMED PRESIDENT OF BDP TRANSPORT

SCHMIDT NAMED PRESIDENT OF BDP TRANSPORT    Wayne R. Schmidt has been named president of BDP Transport LLC, a an ocean transportation intermediary jointly owned by BDP International and DuPont Global Logistics.
   Schmidt has more than 32 years of experience with ocean carriers, non-vessel-operating common carriers, freight forwarding, motor carriers and consulting in senior management positions. He will be responsible for reestablishing and implementing the company's business plan and will oversee all operations and sales functions.
   BDP Transport, formed in the wake of the Ocean Shipping Reform Act, provides transportation and logistics services to small and medium-volume ocean shippers by leveraging DuPont's experience and purchasing capacity with ocean carriers.
