Saf-Holland opens doors in Mideast, Africa    Saf-Holland S.A., a Luxembourg-based supplier to the truck and trailer industry, has started a Dubai-based subsidiary to focus on the Middle East and North and Central Africa markets.
   Marc Rauchmann, who previously worked for the Saf-Holland aftermarket business unit, is the subsidiary's managing director.
   The region has developed into one of Saf-Holland's most important markets. 'Our strengthened presence in the Middle East and Africa will improve order-to-delivery lead times, parts availability and lead to better back-order recovery,' said Alexander Geis, president of the Saf-Holland's aftermarket business unit.
   The company noted that with the new regional setup customers can communicate in their native language, access local training facilities, and local business hours.
