Yang Ming joining U.S. East Coast/East Coast South America market

Yang Ming joining U.S. East Coast/East Coast South America market    Taiwan’s Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. said it will enter the U.S. East Coast/East Coast South America trade in June when it will take slots from fellow CKYH alliance members Hanjin and “K” Line.
   Hanjin and “K” Line operate a joint weekly service with MOL and Zim using six vessels of about 1,500 TEUs. Hanjin markets the service as NSA while “K” Line refers to the loop as SAMCO.
   Yang Ming will market the service as ESA and its participation will cover New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Rio Grande, Itajai, Santos and back to the United States.
   The full rotation of the service is: New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Port Everglades, Kingston, Puerto Cabello, Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Rio Grande, Itajai, Santos, Kingston and back to New York.
