USDA CREATES INTERACTIVE FORWARDER DATABASE    The U.S. Department of Agriculture has created an online system to provide agricultural exporters with efficient access to information about freight forwarders that specialize in the field.
   The Directory of Freight Forwarders Serving Agricultural Shippers may be accessed at https://www.ams.usda.gov/tmd/freight.
   “The new database replaces a static online version of the directory and enables agricultural shippers to locate a freight forwarder to meet their specific needs by choosing from a variety of criteria such as freight forwarder name, state, commodity shipped, and services offered,” the USDA said.
   The new format also allows USDA to update the information when necessary.
