An overturned big rig on the port's Pier T, led to a spill of fuel and the truck's load of paint. It also prompted the deployment of the hazardous materials unit from the local fire department.
The crash occurred about 12:40 a.m. on Pier T near Ocean Boulevard.
Firefighters had the mess cleaned up before the morning rush of trucks headed for the Pier T gates. The Pier T terminal, the largest at the Long Beach port, is operated by Total Terminals International.
