The average vessel size on Maersk's Safari 1 service, on which its subsidiary Safmarine provides one vessel, will increase from the current 5,069 TEUs to 6,628 TEUs once all seven vessels on the service have been switched out. That's a roughly 31 percent increase.
The service has a rotation of Hong Kong, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Port Louis, Tanjung Pelepas, and Hong Kong.
