Hamburg Sud opens own Mexico agency    German ocean carrier Hamburg Sud has established an office to take over its general agency functions and office operations in Mexico from Representaciones Maritimas (Repmar).

   Repmar continues to act as a port agent and intermodal service provider to Hamburg Sud in Mexico.
   The carrier said that together with its Brazilian subsidiary, Alianca, its has more than doubled its volume in Mexico in the past two years and now has over 300 port calls a year and weekly liner services from and to Veracruz, Altamira, Manzanillo and Ensenada.
