IAG adds Austin-London service

   IAG Cargo has added Boeing 787 Dreamliner service between London Heathrow and Austin.
   The service is now offered five times each week, but will switch to a daily schedule on May 3.
   The new route will benefit Mexican businesses shipping products to Europe, officials said.
   “Texas is increasingly proving to be a key market for us, so it makes complete sense to open up this new service in Austin,” Steve Gunning, IAG Cargo’s chief executive officer, stated. “Alongside our existing operations in Dallas and Huston, this route gives businesses in the region a valuable connection to global markets through our Heathrow hub. Serviced by one of the world’s most advance aircraft, customers in the region can expect a high-quality and reliable service no matter what they are shipping.”
   Last week, IAG Cargo reported lackluster year-end numbers for 2013.
