Retail plant producer, distributor inks new facility lease

Retail plant producer, distributor inks new facility lease US Farms Inc., one of the state's largest producers and distributors of retail agricultural products, said Tuesday it has signed a five-year lease agreement for a 14-acre production facility in Rainbow, near the firm's San Diego headquarters.
   This is the second leased production facility in San Diego County for US Farms. The firm estimates that the new Rainbow facility, to be used for producing jade plants for distribution to commercial and retail nurseries, will add an additional $800,000 in revenue to company coffers over the next 12 months, with profits in the 30 percent to 40 percent range.
   The new facility will make the $12 million-a-year US Farms Inc. one of the largest jade plant growers in the United States.
