GT Nexus, Open Harbor offer integrated compliance software

GT Nexus, Open Harbor offer integrated compliance software       GT Nexus, a provider of logistics technology, and Open Harbor, a provider of trade management solutions, said they've formed a marketing strategy to integrate Open Harbor's trade security, compliance and documentation services with GT Nexus's logistics management systems.
   The companies' new integrated platform, based on a Web-hosted model, will deliver real-time content for trade security, including frequent updates of 'denied party' lists of businesses and entities abroad that U.S. customers cannot have legal dealings with under new security regulations, the companies said.
   'In today's environment, any company that imports or exports goods must be extremely diligent about managing trade compliance and security. Executives have to know, more precisely and faster than before, where products are, who is handling them, how they are documented, and when events occur that put security at risk,' said Beth Peterson, vice president of product solutions at Open Harbor.
   The jointly derived software will be marketed to customers of both GT Nexus and Open Harbor under a referral agreement.
   GT Nexus is based in Alameda, Calif., and Open Harbor in San Carlos, Calif.
