UPS Singapore teams up with 7-Eleven

Customers will now be able to pick up UPS packages at the convenience store’s locations.    UPS has partnered with 7-Eleven in Singapore to create 20 alternative-delivery outlets across the city.
   The 7-Eleven stores, which are located in Shell gas stations, will immediately become UPS delivery points, a move spurred by the growth in e-commerce, UPS officials said.
   “The online shopping market in Singapore is projected to reach SG$4.4 billion ($3.37 billion) by 2015, and our customers have raised concerns about not being available to sign off on their purchases when they arrive,” Ingrid Sidiadinoto, managing director of UPS Singapore, said in a statement.
   She said the deal with Shell and 7-Eleven will give people “greater control over their e-commerce shipments while offering them a secure and quick option to retrieve their packages.”
