Exel subsidiary renews Crate & Barrel deal    Exel Direct, the home and business delivery service unit of Exel, has renewed its contract with Crate & Barrel to provide delivery and set up of home furnishings to Crate & Barrel customers.
   The two-year contract will see Exel Direct manage operations and deliveries out of three facilities — two in California and one in Colorado — to serve customers primarily in the central and western portions of the United States.
   The renewal represents a significant portion of the nearly 110,000 annual nationwide deliveries Exel Direct performs on behalf of Crate & Barrel through two contracts, the company said. The second contract is for network home and business delivery solutions.
