“K” Line vessels to transport thermal coals for JSW Energy
Tokyo-based “K” Line has reached an agreement with India’s JSW Energy Ltd., part of the O.P. Jindal Group, for a 15-year consecutive voyage charter of two post-Panamax thermal coal carriers.The charter agreement will commence from 2009 with the two vessels transporting thermal coals from Indonesia to India.
Mumbai-based JSW Energy’s is mainly engaged in providing electric power to JSW Steel Ltd., and will complete the construction of two new power stations in 2008 and 2009.
