AgTC to hold 5 shipper workshops

AgTC to hold 5 shipper workshops The Agriculture Transportation Coalition is holding a series of shipper workshops in five cities over the next two months.
   The roundtable format meetings are off-the-record gatherings, with no carriers present, designed to allow shippers to hear the concerns of their fellow shippers.
   Topics to be discussed are:
   ' Ocean carrier service and costs.
   ' Customs and Border Protection's Automated Export System.
   ' Trucker shortages.
   ' The impact of the Obama administration.
   ' Looming port fees.
   ' Carrier capacity limits on transpacific services.
   ' China’s new 24-hour manifest rule.
   The workshops will be held in Seattle on Jan. 14; Minneapolis, Feb. 3; Boise, Feb. 23; Modesto, Calif., Feb. 25; and Atlanta, March 11. More information is available here.
