ATLAS REPORTS ANOTHER RECORD QUARTER    Atlas Air, the airline that flies freighters for other airlines, said net income jumped 43 percent to a record $19 million in the second quarter, spurred by continued strong demand for all-cargo lift on the world's major trade lanes.
   Revenue rose 38 percent to $191.8 million and operating income increased 41 percent to $58.4 million. Total block hours, or the amount of flying time charged to Atlas customers, jumped to 33,140 hours from 23,861 in the same period last year.
   “The market for our services remains as vibrant and as rich with potential as any we have seen,” said Michael Chowdry, chairman, chief executive officer and president. “The growth of air cargo traffic in the international arena, where Atlas operates, has been phenomenal. During the quarter, growth rates throughout our customer system ranged from 17 percent in Korea to over 30 percent in Taiwan, with many of our European customers reporting their strongest-ever quarterly traffic.”
