RSPA HAZMAT ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION FOR 2002-2003 BEGINS JULY 1    The Research and Special Programs Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation on Thursday said that online registration for year 2002-2003 hazardous materials program begins July 1.
   RSPA’s electronic hazmat registration program allows registrants to make payments at any time, and receive an immediate acknowledgement of payment. The fees are $300 for small businesses, and $2,000 for others, RSPA said.
   The hazardous materials registration funds the DOT’s Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness grants program, which supports hazmat emergency response training and planning activities by state, territory, tribal and local governments.
