CMA CGM service links Asia, Fiji, New Zealand    CMA CGM will launch a new liner service connecting Asia, Fiji Islands and New Zealand on July 18.
   The weekly ANZEX will use seven 1,800-TEU ships in a rotation of Port Kelang, Malaysia; Chiwan and Shangai, China; Pusan, Korea; Suva, Fiji; Auckland, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton and Tauranga, New Zealand; Noumea, New Caledonia; and Port Kelang.
   The company said the service will offer “enhanced capacity of reefers in order to meet the growing demand of refrigerated transport on this trade.”
   'The launch of this new service shows the willingness of CMA CGM Group to consolidate its offer on the South Pacific market, in order to support the strong demand for transport linked to the boom in Asian exports to this market,” said St'phane Courquin, CMA CGM vice president for Africa, Indian Ocean and Oceania lines.
   The call in Port Kelang will connect with CMA CGM's global network; the call in Tauranga with the CMA CGM’s “Panama Direct” that links North Europe, the U.S. East Coast, French Polynesia, Australia and New Zealand; the call in Auckland with the PNW service of CMA CGM’s ANL subsidiary that links Australia, New Zealand, French Polynesia and the U.S. West Coast.
